    Aberdeen FC

Years ahead of any other club in the league, finished second to Celtic 3 times this season, if we drop our standards next season, they will be in with a shout.

Aye, and if you drop your left, they'll break your jaw...

Gutted about the result yesterday, given the performance. A major rebuilding job in the summer and it might be difficult to keep McInnes.

I don't see why McInnes wouldn't stay at Aberdeen - it is a great club, he is appreciated (mostly) by the support, so why not? I am sure he is paid a sufficient amount so why would he leave? If you have got to the top of your particular pile and you have no more challenges left then yes, move on - but DM hasn't won that much in four years... one League Cup isn't enough I don't think for the second best team in the league. We've done our undefeated treble - a feat never achieved before in Scotland - and, whilst it would be nice to do it every year, I think that I would personally like to see Aberdeen get some kind of tangible reward for their efforts. If anything, I think McInnes may at times be too timid and/or defensive but I suppose you have to do what you can to spike the guns of the opposition and help yourself... I hope Aberdeen have a great run in the Europa league, and I hope the huns go bankrupt and disappear forever...

McInnes has been linked with Sunderland though - which is recognition of the great job he's done with Aberdeen this last few years. Sunderland probably give their manager a salary which is multiples of what McInnes is currently on. And he may feel he's got unfinished business down south.

That said I hope he stays and builds Aberdeen even further. If he could manage them to even a cup (I think a 38 game league the teams like Celtic with a deeper squad are more likely to prevail) and get them the reward they deserve it would be great for the game in Scotland. Hopefully a good run in Europe (2 weeks longer break with Man U in the CL) will happen too.

I don't think anyone would begrudge Aberdeen a bit of silverware but I do think that Celtic have too much in the tank over the piece... although apparently the huns just need a couple of players and they'll be challenging for the title next season. An arrogant sense of entitlement over Aberdeen's hard graft... I hope the huns win fk all
