Interesting. When I first read about interest in him, I thought it would go away when Lambert was let go due to Bennett being brought to Carrow Road by Lambert. Can't speak on his quality as a player, but we need CB to push Batth and Hause, as well as depth. Also shows that Mendes doesn't control all transfers.

Baffling! just seems like a Lambert/Thelwell hangover! How Thelwell survived the 'cull' is beyond me!!

I also didn't expect the rumour of him signing once Lambert had left Wolves. With an head coach at the helm, he will have an input into players, but i very much doubt Nuno would have heard or had seen Bennett play. If the player can stay fit and offer competition for places then for a free transfer it's worth the risk.

    Bennett Signs A New Deal

    More From Ryan Bennett

What a signing he has turned out to be and he fully deserves the new deal he has signed. Who can forget his winner at Bristol City last season?

... or his last ditch tackle to stop Willian’s attempt for Chelsea a couple of games ago, it was like another goal. He’s a key member of our squad, like Doherty and Coady, and the combined cost for those three...

My player of the season with Doherty a very close second.
