    France v England Matchday Thread

France XI: Lloris; Sidibe, Varane, Umtiti, Mendy; Dembele, Kante, Pogba, Lemar; Giroud, MbappeMbappe

England XI: Heaton, Trippier, Jones, Cahill, Stones, Bertrand, Sterling, Dier, Alli, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kane.

It's good to see a couple of Wolves flags in the crowd. As for the game tonight, it's a friendly, i just hope England give it a good go.

We all know now how overrated the French have always been.

    Should be a walkover

On a plate for Harry Kane, a good move by England, 0-1.

Nice touch from Sterling, pleased for the kid.

He's never going to be a world beater but he's never pretended to be one either.

Gets a fair bit of unfair criticism sometimes.

That should be 1-1, Dembele should really have scored, a let off for England. France counter-attack so well with pace.

It is 1-1 now, Heaton did well to keep out Giroud's header, but Umtiti first to react. A decent game so far.

Let him enjoy it, it's always good to teach the less informed a bit about football and other things in life!

Too late Newcy, you've joined the discussion as well.

Heaton again makes a save, but again A French player knocks in the rebound, 2-1. defending for me from England has to be better.

All square after Kane's penalty, a definate penalty, but in a friendly, why bother sending Varane off? i know you have go by the letter of the law, but the penalty was punishment enough.
