A gamble which Villa are willing to take, seeing as they are going all out this season to get promoted to the Premier League.

    Hit or miss really...

Could still be time for a quick hijack move for Terry from us, love to see him captain our side and receive his experience to help guide us towards promotion next season.
Yet he signed for villa on a reported £60K per week?

What makes everybody think this plonker John Terry would be a gear towards winning promotion from the Champship ?
Its a League that he knows little about and he probably even cares little about, as long as hes getting a massive final pay-cheque at the end of his carrer eh ?

Agree, rather have 4 young hungry championship players on £15K a week but there we go some managers just can't help themselves, doubt he will last the season.

Disagree, the best defender and captain in the whole of the championship, a winner and leader and will be the envy of every championship manager! Love or hate him the bloke is a legend!

Indeed but won't last 46 games and one only has to look at other legends that have made the same move, such as Ferdinand at QPR to realise what a colossal waste of money this will be!

Suppose he's a 'legend' at Stamford Bridge but nowhere else and it rarely transfers. I'm with Acido and Swale on this one...glad we didn't go for him.

Likewise, looking forward to Chris Martin going down like a sack of spuds with Terry even remotely close to him

Lock up your wives and partners, John Terry is on the prowl at a ground near you this season!!
I doubt if he will be the envy of every manager, and I cant see him lasting the whole season injury wise.

If he does half the job Mackay did for us he will become a legend at Villa!!
