What other signings what we like to see this season at mfc. Personally I would like to see a centre back and another striker. Anyone think different

A back up keeper; back up right back;at least one central defender if not two; a left back; and a creative midfielder. All this depends of course on no one (Clay, Blyth, Bowman, Moult, or Heneghan) moving on. If they do, that would lengthen the list.

We need a replacement for McDonald. If we can find anyone who comes close we'll be fine.

His experience and guile will be hard to replace but what about Tanner?

Tanner might be ok but McDonald's experience is really hard to replace. If we find someone with the experience that can score goals to take some pressure of Moult then I would be very happy but to me a replacement for McManus is a must. I would keep McManus as backup but somewhere out there there is a better centre back that we can afford.

Sorry, McManus has been done for two season's at least.

Disagree .. when out injured we were absolutely woeful and IMO been a solid defender over the years
Accept his days numbered and prone to some lapses and not perfect (who is) but his experience with those asked to play alongside over the years, has been to our /their benefit (Hutchison, Heneghan). I always post ... NAME the alternative ?

Basically agree...McManus has been disappointing compared to his pedigree before coming to us imho but if he was some no-name we'd found in the English lower leagues we'd be content enough with him despite his failings. It always comes down to 'are we better with him in the team than without?' and the answer, faint praise as it is, has usually been yes during his time here. Robinson managing to tighten the defence without him certainly puts his position in doubt though and transitioning him out is one of the long-term goals for this season.
