    Baker to Bristol City !

The central defender has ended his 13-year association with Aston Villa to return permanently to City, the club he joined on loan for the entire 2015/16 campaign.

Speaking in an exclusive BCTV interview, Baker insisted the decision to move on from the club he joined as a 13-year-old was an “easy” one.

He told the club’s in-house TV channel: “I’m delighted to come back.

“When Bristol City put the offer in it made me feel good about myself again.

“I spent a long time of my career at Villa but it feels like the right time to move on with Bristol City.

“It helps that I know the club already, but the main thing for me is the potential of the club – it was an easy decision for me.”

I don't feel great about this and after having his best season too. If Terry and Samba pick up early injuries we'll be stretched. Baker would have learned heaps from JT.

I'm not happy either. Terry and Samba have two years left maximum and we only have 3 centre backs now anyway.

Yes, wasn't too happy to hear about this one ... Stretches us too thinly, and, as much as I dislike JT personally, as Oz says, Baker could have learned a lot from him ...

Felt a bit sad for Baker reading this: "“When Bristol City put the offer in it made me feel good about myself again." I guess he must have felt not valued which is sad. So hard for players that want to play to feel they will mainly just be warming the pine ...

Thank you and all the best for the future, Mr Baker

Baker yet to reach his prime, but players coming so some players need to move out.

Would've preferred others before him, but nobody wants them.
