    To be honest, at this moment driving through France in this heat, any white wine or any beer, as long as it's ice cold.

    Exactly, thats why I always do as well. I put my cans of lager/beer or even a bottle of white wine in the freezer for about half an hour, so its perfectly chilled. Dont give me any of this room temperature nonsense.
