Uncle Mick and Uncle Colin to look after us?

One a South Yorkshireman always a South Yorkshireman? (OK one lives in suffolk and the other bloody Cornwall).

Mick was very generous last season shown by the points Ipswich donated to us and if it is true he is sending us 2 good players then that is a sign.

Colin gave us Ajayi who is a very good player and paid us handsomely for Ward another sign.

Soft spots r them I reckon.

Colin is reported as saying that they got Ward for an excellent price. Which rather suggests that they would have been prepared to pay more. We probably beat them down!

It sounds like there was only Ipswich and Cardiff who were seriously interested this summer.
Obviously Hudds have moved on now.
So Ward was only worth what they were prepared to pay us.

More confirmation perhaps that big Mick is still willing to help us out.

They don't look very inspiring to me the Ipswich pair. Do we need a Right back? Fisher & Vaulks can play there. Could do with an Adeyemi type player in midfield.

Warne says he doesn't want Vaulks to play there.

Looks like you could be right! According to the Ipswich newspaper they offered £2 million plus two players but our negotiating team obviously thought £1.6 million from Cardiff was a better deal 😕

Don't see why we need Moore when we're chasing other better able strikers but...

Yep. nowt against Moore as a battering ram but we will have that in Proctor. Maybe we should have got moore and not proctor because arguably Moore is a bigger battering ram. Neither of them is an out and out goalscorer (1 in 4 ish). I think if we just had one we could then spend the money saved on a 20 goal a season goal scorer like Doidge who would probably work well with a big un next to him. Warne keeps going on about getting a 20 goal + a season goalscorer...
