    £30m for Keane - He's gone

    http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/40447200

Is £30m enough for him & who do we replace him with?

Keane left with some sincere heartfelt words thanking Dyche , Woan, his teammates and the backroom team. He also thanked the fans for backing the team . A truly down to earth player who will not be spoilt by wealth.

This is a young player we paid £2 million pound for and today have sold him for £30 million pounds including add ons.

He has become a Claret legend in a short space of time and his last minute point savers against Brighton and Middleborough will never be forgotten.

I would say at the moment Keane is irreplaceable but the same management team will be working hard on the Mee /Tarkowski partnership .

I think bringing in a proven Premier League replacement like one of the Dawson's is *****. Rather than someone unproven like Lees. We have the money !

I remember thinking that Robert Huth and Wes Morgan would get run all over the place in the Premier League . They were part of a Premier League winning side.

No brainer, 5years contract Keane is currently on £30,000-a-week at Burnley, but Everton have offered to more than double his current salary.

Burnley also have insisted that a sell on clause is placed into the deal.

Burnley are set to take a chunk of Everton’s profit, should the Toffees sell the defender on for greater than the £25 million fee they have paid to take him to Merseyside at a later date.

I do agree - there must come a point for clubs when they no longer have to sell the top players to keep going, when do you think this point is in the premier league?

30m is huge money totally agree the club needs the pennies to keep moving forward - will be interested to see if we spend £££ on a new CD.

It looks to me like we are going for more "physicality".

Walters, Barnes, Vokes, Long, Mee, ward, Tarkowski are not exactly what can be described as gentle souls.

Add the battering ram that is Dawson and the little bull that is Assombalonga and we are going to be doing a Stoke and WBA.

Might upset fans like donzy who wants to see the beautiful game but this aggressive style will keep us safe!

£3m for a 33 year old seems a lot of money- we have to assume he is on a 1 year contract with an option for the club to offer a second year if Boyd is anything to go by. Can't believe that he is the direct replacement for Gray- SD has got another up his sleeve.

Walters has been offered a two year contract with an option on a third.

Assombalonga is the option up SD's sleeve...
