We don not need any more players up front.

I'd be looking at one more central midfielder (although I feel Newell is more than capable of playing there) and some utility defenders.

Surely Purrington will be the first choice LB?

I agree with Warnes re the diversity of our strike force.

I am thinking out of the box here but would it be a good idea to diversify a bit more and get one who can score a goal!!

We're currently creating multi faceted diamonds that NO-ONE has spotted so far but between the Phone app player appreciator and PW's eye for "potential" we'll have a choice of strikers to do slightly different things.

I haven't heard any left foot / right foot comments about the strikers so far !

Having said that - at pro level I expect both feet and head to be a threat !

Grrrrrrr - "It fell to his wrong foot" really winds me up ! If a player is getting a bowl of cornflakes to play football in any position - they should NOT be totally one sided or how have they got a contract ?

Big wall - one ball - hit it left / right for hours would cure a one footed player....and good fun ! Or was that just me....lol

Hmm, I think that might be part of the problem Kempo, we need to think inside the box.
Have we got anyone who can do that? 😊

I am convinced Jamie Proctor will score 15+ goals for us this season.

We have to keep him fit first so I doubt it.

We need to concentrate on JCH to know where the net is imo

When JCH scores, the goals can be spectacular, but he needs to get the tap-ins too..... needs better positioning, following-up shots from other players, etc. A good coach should be able to improve him though.

I hope so because this is probably his make or break season and he needs to realise that a tap in counts just the same as a 30 yard screamer.
