George picks up a grade one hamstring whilst training in Tenerife. Rowett doesn't expect it to be too serious and expects him to come back in 7-10 days and ready to prepare and work again like normal. George really is fragile I feel he is too big of a risk to be put him under full training regimes and get him fully playing football at maximum capacity, we should give him light training regimes until he is fully strong enough to work at full maximum capacity. He is such a ***** player for us and we have missed him a hell of a lot and we don't want to miss him again for this season.

I would pay him off and let him go tbh. Cant rely on a player that is out for whole seasons, and not fit for the ones he isnt injured in.

If were going down the dm route buy one or loan one that isnt made of cardboard ffs.

I think a hamstring tweak is to be expected in his situation. Hopefully it's not too serious this time but he can't be one to build a side around unfortunately.
Never understand why rugby players seem to recover from hamstring injuries so much quicker than footballers...or is that just an impression?

I know it takes some will power but George needs all the support he can get, this is only a minor thing, let's not condemn the guy already!

The bloke is paid 1000s to play football though ffs,, i can understand leg breaks,, but hes notfit 95% of the time,, if i was rowett and club owner id be getting sick of him tbh, the likes of keogh russell etc play 50 games a season without issues, yet thorne cant manage 2 games on the bounce without a "niggle",, hes paid good money to do f***all. Get rid and get him off the books.

...or...alternatively...the bloke has been desperately unlucky with injuries and has picked up the last two serious ones representing the side you support. Yes he gets paid a shed load of money and the wages footballers command nowadays is excessive but these injuries will take their toll in later life and at his best he is still a great asset to DCFC. It's very frustrating I agree and you can't build a side around someone so injury prone even though, ability wise, we'd probably like to, but - as D2d4 says - let's see what he's like once this latest setback is sorted before writing him off.

He was playing consistently and very well till Johnathon Douglas decided to go over the top and break his leg in two places We need to get behind him not say stupid things like pay him off
