Is it just me being impatient?

I always say points are the most important thing and that table position is critical. The win against Bury was great news as it was a critical game to keep ourselves out of the drop zone, but they did only have 10 men for half the game and they are a team facing relegation, so I can't get too excited about beating them.

Rotherham, Fleetwood and Wigan will not be such a pushover and we can't hope they all end up with 10 men on the pitch to give us a chance. We'll see what the fans have to say if we have a bad run over the next 3 games.

So, we have now passed the first 1/3rd of the season and Christmas is looming up.

Where have we been in previous seasons at 31st Dec and at end of season?

It is clear to me that the trend for the last 7 years is we have always stayed about the same place or dropped down the table in the second half of the season. We have only ever gone up 1 or 2 places at best. We never do well in the end of season scrap when it gets really nasty, because of our policy to play nice football instead of winning football.

It will be interesting to see if we can claw our way up the table by the New Year or we are likely to remain in a relegation battle.
