I should have known, but thought he might genuinely have some news, its gone rather quiet on this rumour and I have my doubts we will sign him.

Brighton have entered the race to sign Tom Lawrence and are subjected to a £8m bid for the player.

Is this part of the FFP where random clubs are being forced to make bids for players?

I hope Derby aren't subjected to make bids!

Forced to make bids! No clubs are forced to make bids unless they really have to, if they really want the player but if they don't they can look elsewhere.

I just think it's players holding out for the best deal, a premiership club may pull a player towards them but I think if the prem club offered £30,000 a week on a 3 year contract and the championship team offered £40,000 on a 4 year contract I think I know where the player would prefer to go!
