Port Vale 0 Derby County 1

A penalty from Darren Bent earns Derby County a 1-0 victory and get's them their 3 straight victory in pre-season, and another step closer to the first game of the season against Sunderland on August 4th.

Not really a fan of these double friendlies, as the starting 11 will probably be different v sunderland anyways.

But its another step closer to full fitness and another 2 good results to boost confidence a little.

We do need a proper winger though,, its probably our last weak area if rowett changes the system.

Having a double friendly get's the whole squad playing that don't usually get to play and gives them a chance to show Rowett what hidden gems might be lurking behind the scenes that have not been unleashed yet, and also gives him a rough idea on roughly what he has got to work with for the coming season and what squad he is going to put out against Sunderland on August 4th.
