The only type of player blackstock any manager would want is Stubbs and blackstock picking himself and both of them are thick ****s so that just about says it all.
Worst player and manager In millers history

One must ask the question " why or what went wrong with Blackstock to make him so vilified by the Millers fans?" did he lose his appetite for the game - he didn't lose his appetite for the money !

Did he realise he had made a mistake coming to Rotherham ,a side destined for relegation?
Did he think he could resurrect his career or did he just see an opportunity to hoodwink our Management into three years deal and con us out of our money?

I think reading a "professional" writers attempt at an informative article that the writer has been "Damned by" his own pen.

    Just too obvious !

Subtlety is the key to criticism PD.

The pen is mightier than the sword but this articles is akin to slitting your wrist while sharpening the sword.

Humorous - if it wasn't a professional attempt at journalism.

    Must try harder !
    Lacks credibility....

    Reasonable questions DB

Too many unknowns for any definitive answer but looking back at what we do know was the circumstances at the club at the time of his arrival.

    NW's procrastination.
NW's cull of half the squad
No bums on seats until very late
    Poor budget for the league.
    Time pressure
Eager agents pushing DB knowing we were:

    Short of players
    Under time pressure

Just imagine agent saying he'll come for cheap ( championship wages ) but only for a 3 year contract....

    Take it leave it !

And we had to take it.
Time pressure and negotiation are poor bedfellows.

Our leg was lifted pure and simple -

Football - Wards early season form froze DB out ( 1 / 2 ) with Izzy playing. So no run in team no form !

After AS left - frozen out and poor ( next to NO ) management and nobody shone in a tactically naive system - crucified by championship clubs with better players and manager.

The End....No future for DB under PW so mutual consent deal inevitable.

Are you actually commenting on the article linked?
The criticism by PD in the actual article is so subtle it's invisible.
I reckon you have got your articles mixed up

    Must try harder

Seriously - your comments seem to be aimed at the other article, where PD does criticize DB.
Perhaps you have your wires crossed?

PD has "previous" so lacking credibility for ever now. Looking forward to any article by PD that doesn't undermine journalists and journalism as a profession.

He's a pro writer but too obviously a very bias individual.

Instead of being an investigatIive journalist - asking the questions to the many unanswered questions fans want asking - he takes the easy way out and writes the propaganda he's handed by the very people he should be interrogating.

The "other article" you refer to is a disgrace and would make even a true DB hater wince. Far too obviously a hatchet job....subtle as a flying mallet !
