    Grant Leadbitter

Derby County could be making a tenacious move for Middlesbrough captain Grant Leadbitter and could be a intriguing signing for the Rams given the fact he was their inspiring captain that guided Middlesbrough to promotion from the Championship in the 2015-16 season and was their outstanding performer during that campaign.

This could be the sort of leader to guide the team towards the finish line and guide Rowett to new heights.

Derby made a pre-deadline day move for Middlesbrough's midfielder Grant Leadbitter but Monk wanted to keep him in his plans as he saw him playing a pivotal role in helping Middlesbrough gain back promotion to the Premier League.
