Stronger or weaker than when we won promotion to the championship

I think we are I've got high hopes.
    Yes from me.

  2. #2
    I'd say we are stronger

  3. #3
Weaker up front and par or stronger everywhere else.

  4. #4
If only we'd still got Stubbs!

That's a big shout, i don't think we're as strong in terms of team spirit, it was team spirit that won us many games late in the match, and won us the play off final....we won't know about this team, it hasn't had chance to bed in yet has it.

Adam Collin, Tavs, Arni, Morgan, Smallwood, Pringle would say better than now though haven't seen the new additions. Agard & Wes Thomas were above average back then. Revell same. At the moment no but is league 1 as good now? See how we go, there's chances we could be as good.

What do you drink, this squad is nowhere near has good.We had a better goalkeeper, better midfield & a better forward line.Dont kid your self this league is easy ask the blunts 8yrs it took the to get out.

I've got to say weaker. Wembley team Vs my best 2017 millers 11
    Collin vs odonnell about par
Tavs Vs fisher. Tavs every time
    Morgan Vs wood. Morgan just
    Arni Vs ajayi. Easily arni.
Skarz Vs mattock. Mattock though close
Agard Vs taylor. Easy one due to agards goals
Frecks 2014 Vs frecks 2017. Another easy one
Smallwood Vs potter. Not seen potter but in 2014 Smallwood was awesome
Pringle Vs Newell. Newell a better player but workrate and crossing ability Pringle creams it.
Revell Vs proctor/ Moore. Alex has done more than both at higher levels. Revs for me
Thomas Vs ball. Never liked Thomas and not seen ball yet though I'm looking forward to seeing him play. Ball on expectation.

It's an impossible question to answer because it's a team with hindsight against a team who haven't kicked a ball in anger yet.

We'll just have to wait and see. Who knows, the team who won promotion were 33/1 at the start of that season so anything can happen.

Collin vs Odonnell about . Odonnell
Tavs Vs Emmanuel . Ipswich fans say we have a cracking player .
    Morgan Vs wood. Morgan
Arni Vs Ajayi. Arni. Although Ajayi is a good CD for this league
Skarz Vs mattock. Mattock or Purrington easy both better at attacking
Agard Vs Taylor. Agard But Taylor will be used as a winger
Frecks 2014 Vs Vaulks 2017. Frecks was awesome that season no reason why Vaulks cannot be as good he has potential
Smallwood Vs Potter. In 2014 Smallwood was awesome. Potter is a very similar player .Smallwood gets the nod here though
Pringle Vs Newell. Newell on his day could tear this league apart. Its how many days we get out of a full season
Revell Vs Proctor/ Moore. Revs was awesome . Moore comes with a different game could be a diamond with his height
Thomas Vs ball. Ball proven last season 14 goals and loads of assists .

I think we are stronger everywhere except maybe CD

I think to judge this properly I used the players that were in the promoted team from league 2 and the compared them to the players that got relegated last year. Because no one knew at the time we would go up again and no one know what the team is like now.

Of course we had so many new faces then too evans did like to sign players didn't he

Stronger apart from centre defence, all out attack win 5 - 4

The question is irrelevent really because the championship has moved on so much, any Millers team would struggle....unfortunately.

Weaker as we've not got the same manager who could when dealt with pressure, get blood from a stone.

Think back to Wembley 2-0 down at half time, do you think Warne could have got the same desire to win out of this new lot?

Not knocking the new set up as they've yet to play as a team but let's see how Warne performs in his first full season like Evo did.

I wish Warne all the best before anyone starts 😉

I see your point brin but if we don't go 2-0 down we won't need a motivator like Evans. But my faith and optimism is because:

*The squad is young and talented who have championship experience.
*Players like Taylor vaulks proctor who feel like they need to prove something to themselves and to other clubs.
    * Blackstock has gone
    * our training is looking intense and beneficial
    * our recruitment seems to have been thought out better (although I admit it's on the cheap)

Impossible to say without seeing them 10 or 12 games into the season. On paper not as good, but the previous man did spend and waste an obscene amount of money fulfilling all of our dreams.

But to get there on penalties against a team who are now non-league, suggests this time around the standard will be higher.

Lets hope someone can score 25+ goals

Zil or whatever your name is, there you go again having a dig at a successful outcome.
Your hatred for Evans is beyond comprehension and it must really be a personal thing between you and he.

For me he didn't spend and waste an an obscene amount of money, he was presented with it by a chairman who had and fulfilled his dream of promotion.

Wasting money would have been spending say 2 million on one player. Evans brought in looked at players and got rid asap once he saw they weren't up to speed. How many clubs get lumbered with dead wood they can't offload once they've signed them having given them 2-3 years contracts? Oops! We just have done under Stubbs.

Have to agree never seen the Evans method used before but he got the desired results, promotion twice and retained Championship status so where's the blame in that?

What part of Evans role wasn't successful???

Answers on the back of a stamp I think ?

Arguably one of the best managers we've ever had.

He was paid to get results and he did that in fact he overachieved some need to get a grip.

No contest. This team is weaker and needs to build a team spirit that ensures winning games in the last few minutes of a match or displaying a never say due attitude as in the play off Final before a comparison can be made. Without a credible loan market that we can tap into now, its highly unlikely this team will compare well against the squad of Wembley.
