I suppose the key thing is they pulled out but shoe on other foot i would despise them for even considering it!! its a football club, culture, engrained in 1000s and not a business. Dont think i would forgive even wee jum if he tried that. Mind you it was a desperate situation.

Most of the United fans I speak to dont think the stand naming was merited. I for one don't. Worth remembering that it was his son that ultimately took that decision not the fans.

Further I think a better comparison would be between the respective welcomes of The Chuckle Brothers at Dens and ST now at Tannadice. I'm pretty sure there is one party not welcome back at their old Club and it sure as hell aint Mario and Luigi who seem to get the rose petal treatment.

Our stadium has stands named after our most successful manager and a chairman who loved the club blindly (not my choice)--your whole stadium is named after a company who has sponsored you for a few years. Fits in great with the new manager's name too. Always and forever, The Fun.
