    West Stand Gantry Issues

Broadcasting facilities affected for upcoming friendly matches.

Due to essential and ongoing maintenance work in the West Stand, the Club will NOT be able to provide any commentary from the upcoming home friendlies with Coventry City and Huddersfield Town at Oakwell.

Due to the rebuilding of the gantry on the top of the West Stand, fans will clearly see that the scaffolding required to do this has taken up a large part of the stand, thus meaning that any press and media in attendance will be rehoused elsewhere in the ground.

Because of this, the usual ISDN points that all commentators would use are not going to be available.

We are aware that some fans will be frustrated at not being able to listen to our high standard of live and uninterrupted commentary on the iFollow Barnsley service, so we are offering FREE commentary to all fans from the away matches at Rochdale and Rotherham, as we did from Grimsby Town at the weekend.

For LIVE updates from the two home friendly matches for any fans who canít make the game - You can follow the Clubís official Twitter account: @bfc_official

We hope all fans understand that this maintenance is essential to bring the best coverage possible to our fanbase for the duration of the upcoming 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

I know they are sprucing up the West Stand but what exactly are they doing? Are they replacing the roof?

Do we have a Stadium Manager?
    If not,why?
Perhaps he could cast a critical eye over these

Declared a World Heritage Site listed building today.
Classic old school, no airs and graces in tarn
Smell the heady mix of urine and bleach
Splashes on the shoes and trarzers off the wall
    Self cleaning when it rains
Urine steam and fag smoke in the lungs on a winter's neet.
    Love it.
