Warnock is after the record 8th promotion, so he knew the Millers did not have the resources to help him achieve it.
Personally I thought offering Warnock a place on the board, with his football knowledge, he could have been a big influence to Warne in his journey to be a manager, but would this have kept him at the NYS.
But with the chance of a record promotion for Warnock, he wants to go for it.
