I see Martin missed a penalty!
The second game of the night with a different set of starting 11 set out to the Keepmoat Stadium, where it finished level 1 goal a piece with goals from Derby skipper Richard Keogh with a fine header and then Tommy Rowe for the host.
This game ended Derby's 3 game winning streak on the night in pre-season but remain unbeaten going into Germany on Saturday to face Kaiserslautern.
I see Martin missed a penalty!
Again I know it's only pre season
but here we go....
We are not getting in behind from wide
Nugent did nothing
Bennett did nothing penalty apart
Love to see Weimann actually run at a defender on the outside and cross sadly don't think he has it in his locker
Looked fit though
Butterfield he'd be a good player if he would only look forward more
Pearce no confidence in his own ability when players close him down
Hansen not his level can't get forward with any contribution
The Rowett way of getting the ball forward with pace and speed non existent
Hopefully the other game showed more promise
Oh Man of the match 36 year old James Coppinger
Eddy. Couldn't agree more what a pathetic bunch we looked Nugent the worst player on the pitch What system e were trying to play god only knows We do have some dross still it will take two years to turn this team around
Eddy just hoping we atoll bring a couple in because we definitely need it I know its only pre season but Nugent really pissed me off he's on £20,000 a week and all he did was laugh and joke we the opposition defenders I think when people have made the effort to travel to a friendly match they at least deserve a bit of effort
From an abject display at Doncaster
put in two quality players with a bit of class Huddlestone and Wisdom, we look a different team
Thought the back five looked solid
Just need an attacking playmaker to provide us with something different ,hopefully this week
Worryingly though Eddie, if Huddlestone gets injured, we go back to abject very quickly. Definitely require more attacking options.
I did like one thing different in our shape - when the centre backs had the ball, the full backs went up the pitch and Huddleston dropped in to make the 3rd man... a massive difference to our last 5 years where the ball would flow across the back 4 until either someone passed it to a full back under pressure, Pearce lumped it forward and out, or Keogh made a run. Much more positive now.
