    If Joey wins his appeal...?

    Would we welcome him back?

He did well for us did Joey, but one comeback was enough, we've moved on, or at least we should have.

He might get a shorter sentence but won't be free for a while I fear. He could get more.

....if we could keep him on hold - then if all goes pear shaped....bring him back, but for entertainment purposes only.

Joey Barton's 18-month ban for breaching FA betting rules has been reduced to just over 13 months. Still has to pay £30k fine.

After a year out of the game it would be doubtful if he was able to come back and be as effective as he was with us. Having said that, he fits Dyche's current thinking of taking on old guys.He may try his hand at management lower down the leagues if anyone is willing to take him on.

Firstly, I hope he rids himself of his gambling addiction and gets his life back on track for the sake of his family and himself. I wish him all the best for the future.

I suppose a ban ending in June is better if he wants a new club and one wants him! May get a Championship side or lower Division hoping he can help them get up. He isn't going to be PL level.
I agree your good wishes IDTW. I think most of his gambling was buttons unlikely to get him into debt (or win much)
