    New Stadium Update

    UPDATE

It is time for the FA to comply with Competition Law legislation and admit the six top Scottish football clubs into the English Leagues when the UK Government’s FA Bill is finally introduced in the Commons in September.

The invited clubs will be Aberdeen, Celtic, Hearts, Hibs, Rangers plus one from Dundee, Dundee Utd or Kilmarnock, who already have a suitable EPL/EFL 18,000 capacity stadium at Rugby Park.

The average income in the EFL is £100 million per club per season. The invited clubs will need a 20,000 capacity stadium to meet the appointment criteria.

The Bill was originally due to be heard in June but was delayed by the General Election. Damien Collins will continue as Chairman of the Commons Select Committee; other committee members will be announced soon.

The Bill WILL become Law. The proposed new 8,000 capacity junior stadium will close the door to Dundee FC for ever.

The Court would not require Scottish clubs to enter at the bottom of the English National League System.

The victim of a civil wrong must, so far as the court can, be put in the position it would have been had the wrong not been committed.

If the FA have, indeed, been saying NO consistently for 14 years, then the clubs have been wronged continuously since, at least, 2000 when the Act came into force.

Had Scottish clubs been admitted then, where, is it likely, they would be now?

With evidence of their past achievements, domestically and in Europe, their gates and their revenues, there would be a strong argument that they should be admitted to the EFL Championship, at least.

A possible option may be to allow Dundee & United & Killie and for Scottish clubs to take up EIGHT places in the EFL Championship.

This would require ground-sharing in a new 20,000 stadium in Dundee.

John Nelms' plan . . . NOT mine.

OK I won't mention this again.

However, when the FA Compliance Bill goes through Parliament in September will you apologise ?
