It was very encouraging,especially the play from midfield going forward. The most exciting point was the movement off the ball- the midfield were moving the ball about very quickly and there was always someone moving into position to move it along.
Negatives- a lot of them were knackered by about 70 minutes.
Despite the possession in the 1st half we didn't threaten their goal enough. Dagnall played a similar role to early last season= ineffective.
Pickering caught the eye. George was pretty and effective for one half. Walker looked good for one half but didn't seem fit. Ainley performed a lot of tricks but didn't produce anything. Lowery was a terrier who had an eye for sale good ball.
Not bad overall. I'd like to see Daggers operating next to Porter or Bowery rather than as a lone front man.
Looking forward to Macc.
