But look at today's game, loads of times King and McMullan got to the byline only to cross it to the target man that wasn't there.

I suspect the manager is sticking with his favourite formation, so I personally would like a big bruiser up there to win headers and intimidate defenders.

The wage McDonald might need to convince him to come, might mean we get one striker instead of the two the manager wants.
This for me, target man rather than a 34 year old striker for me. Screaming for a target man, McDonald will command a decent wage and IMO if it meant we could get two rather than one id have two any day of the week

It's a NO from me, not what we want.
My opinion not based on not liking him, his best days are long behind him.
He will just get slower & slower.
I saw Motherwell at The Dump last season and I thought he was running thro treacle at times.

Would make Billy McKay look like a decent signing.

Funny you mention that as I'm pretty sure I saw him (B McK) in town yesterday. I'm not 100% sure but it really looked like him.

Hit double figures for a rotten Motherwell side playing in a league above ours last season. He would score 15-20 in the Championship easily imo. He's a very intelligent footballer who has a knack of being in the right place at the right time. Couple that with being one of the best finishers in the league and I don't see what there is not to want about him, especially if he's affordable.

Oh no, I hope I haven't put the mockers on our Billy!
    He wasn't a bad striker...

McDonald will score goals in this league but IMO he is to similar a player to Keatings and I would choose Keatings over him. You could see in the game yesterday we lacked someone to aim for in the box and I don't think McDonald is the best answer to that problem. Would prefer we went for the boy from Dundalk and Storey. Those 2 would give us some better options IMO.

Why are so many people wanting this boy from Dundalk? I doubt anyone has a clue how good he is. He's only 5 ft 11 too. Not exactly the big target man.

Mcdonald would be a decent signing if true. a clever player who annoys the hell out of the opposition something we've not had in a good few years.
hes lost the pace he once had but he could still do a job for us in the championship.
is he the sort of striker we need ? probably not we need a target man like other guys have mentioned.
if we signed mcdonald and another striker who was a tall physical player then id take it but if we had 1 more signing to make it wouldnt be him tbh
