O/T South Yorks Buses & Encouraging People to Use Public Transport

I wonder if in years to come, but only a few, you could use an app to book a driverless car to take you to your destination. No car to buy, or insurance, just the going rate for the journey. No cars parked up for 95% of the time, no buses either, we'll be able to play footie in the streets again.

Can't play footie in the street with battery-powered cars around, they hardly make any noise, you'd get run over.

Managed my recent 8 day trip to England without the use of a rental car. Naturally London was easy then Kings Cross to Donny in just over 90 mins, bus to hotel in Wath and managed to get about to Barnsley, Mexborough, Swinton, Rawmarsh, Rotherham and Wath on the buses including some fairly late drinking evenings. Took a bit of timetable planning and research to get the best day tickets (4-6 quid/day) plus a bit of walking but wasn't too bad apart from Sunday service being a bit sparse. Did call upon the help of a former/absent MMadster for a lift at one point though

You could put a piece of cardboard in the spokes.

I use them every weekday for work. Since losing my licence I find them reliable and convenient.
I'm lucky though I live in kimberworth and work in town.
