Seems strange that even a lower league teams are passing up
A rumour was banding about that Bolton were interested but at the moment **** is hitting the fan there so little chance of that happening.

Suppose it shows how high his wages were at Rovers.
Moderate utility player at this levei, great commitment and good engine. But found wanting in tackling, passing and goal scoring non-existent. Reminds me a bit of Mark Atkins in our Premier-winning squad ,who playing at a much higher level was also a right-back or defensive midfielder who couldnt tackle or pass the ball. But Atkins could score goals better than most midfielders so was also a makeshift centre-forward(which Dalglish played him in one game)so much higher quality.
Jason would be welcome back by me at any rate,if prepared to take say a 70 per cent pay cut, which is probably unlikely.

We have Smallwood and Evans who can play in that role
As loyal as Lowe was He just didn't cut the mustard a very average player and by the lack of offers
Other teams share the same views he will get signed up around our level but he will have to take a massive wage cut.

Pretty much agree with you there Bob.
IMO it is for sure the salary his agent is seeking, I suppose that's what he's paid for !
As for Jason's abilities, I see him the same - great engine and totally committed. Unfortunately the traits you list let him down.
Given the charlatans that have traipsed through our club whilst Jason has been a first team man, I find it a little nauseating regarding the amount of crit and blaming levelled against him.
It may well not have helped with him being on the salary he was on, but does anyone want to put the endless list together of all the others that tipped the salary scale and didn't deliver diddly squat ; I'll start with Murphy, Etuhu ......then I'm sorry I'll have to stop cos I'm feeling bilious!
