    O/T Usain Bolt

Just watched his heat, after a bad start he strolled it.
Surely the most charismatic, talented athlete we have seen since Muhammed Ali?

Very much like the great man, Bolt has ruled, owned his chosen sport and has always been the model professional whilst being a great entertainer.

Another great athlete (arguably one of the greatest ever?) Michael Johnson has just given a great tribute to Bolt.
Hard to believe he is only thirty!

He will leave the sport a legend in London, the perennial cheat Justin Gatlin, five years older, will leave in his shadow again.

One of the few clean athletes in a dirty, dirty sport respect to him but if track and field dies I won't lose any sleep!

    Yep.
    Fair enough.

Check out your response from the sandwell thread that was spoilt, as usual by the Tourette's tramp/druggie/pr1ck

Well it's time for me to eat my words.

Gatlin wins, CLEAN, so fair play to the American.

Kind of feel sorry for him in a way. World Champion at 35 but this race was all about Bolt.

Must be nice to retire at thirty

Yes Gatlin cheated but he served his sentence and will never be accepted by the public. The first ban was a bit dodgy to say the least.

The medal ceremony should be interesting.
