You're not wrong ! Will they gel before it is to late ? Will they gel ?..
Disappointing. Of course it is, marathon not a sprint though. We have a lot of new players in the line up and it will take time to gel. Ideally we could do with promotion immediately, but its took many teams more than one season to do it.

Very disappointing. It's probably an exaggeration, but it seems years to me since we won the opening game.
Very disappointing not so much the result but the apparent lack of effort
I believe the players who hadn't played in this league thought it was going to be a stroll
I really hope this result has opened their eyes up to how tricky a task this is.
Dreadful performance and result. Dont want to over-exaggerate it,but rightly put on the front page on football websites as a bit of a shock!
A worse result than last years opening game when Coyles team got a1-4 home drubbing to Norwich. Coyle had had no time to get a team together, got no budget and it was against a team that had played in the Premiership the previous year. This puts real pressure on Mowbray to get a result in the opening home fixture.
I hope he makes changes....quite a lot of them,I mean come on,it wasnt a last-gasp disputed penalty that we lost to.No players(or hardly any injured) and 2-0 down in good time. In two matches conceding 5 goals in total against Carlisle and Southend.
Quite disgraceful, really. No I didnt go,but from what Ive been told, and the stats bear it out, very lucky not to be thrashed but for a decent display from Raya. Comprehensively outplayed. There.Ive said it!

Players turned up expecting Southend to roll over
Pretty sad really just because we are in league one don't mean that suddenly we have a God given right to walk this league
We now have to wake up or face a battle just to finish respectfully
Look I didn't buy into the favourites tag but minimum is a play off finish if we fail to do this then the repercussions could be massive.
What does their ground Roots Hall feel like now, because on the telly it looks like an absolute toilet!!
And don't talk to me about players needing time to gel, thats the excuse that we're all using at the moment as well. Speaking of needing to gel, are they footballers or hairdressers ?.
Shocking doesnt begin to describe it. And more worringly, since Mulgrews class goal from a free-kick we had more than 30 minutes to try to get a leveller....a worse result than Coyles season opener against Norwich IMHO.
Still no problems with team selection against Coventry though,as Mowbray can go "same again"to get them to "gel"!
Come on Cov.
As I thought, a long time since we won our opening League game - 2010, in fact.
