I wouldn't ditch Maccormack just yet!

It was obvious yesterday that we are going to struggle with creativity and of course goals. Ross gives us an extra dimension and I would have preferred to have seen him in there instead of Bacuna!

Don't sell to soon Bruce, it may just come back to bite you in terms ass!

Morning Yubbs, they did alright mate, not amazing but they do IMO, improve us as a team.

JOHNSTONE- not a lot to do really, seems more confident than last season.
TERRY- rock solid leadership, but a little flat footed, he can’t do it all by himself but appears to try to. Could be the making the squad.
ELMO- very impressed with him, quick enough with ability to take men on.
WHELAN- solid, does the simple stuff well, links defence to mids. Always looking for the ball off Johnstone. Slight worry about his Huttnesque attitude to tackling.
ONOMAH- lively, forward thinking and enthusiastic. Not on long enough to really show his stuff.

Disappointed not to win, Green missed the sitter of the decade at the end. Seems we are still a 45min team with little or no link up play from mids to fwds, Hogan spending too much time with his back to goal, leaving him having to turn and lose yards. Don’t think our pre-season allowed enough match practice to improve continuity

I’m with Dave on RMC, he can be the missing link between mids and Hogan. Silly to get rid in this window, especially with Kodjia and Grealish out for the foreseeable future.

Lot of talk of Newcastle sniffing after the Koj. Would not surprise me as Mr Xia has gone very quiet??

Hogan looked very isolated definitely needed a number 10. I didn't even realise bacuna was playing until about 70 minutes.

Ross Mac, Grealish, Green would fit the bill but the obvious OBVIOUS choice is Conor Hourihane

It would be financial suicide if Dr X contemplates selling Jimmy Danger – without the guy we wont be returning to the Premier for an infinity ( or two !)
