Well done Piglet, you got it right this week! Unfortunately, as the rest of us know, the bonus competition finished last week.

CONGRATULATIONS to NZBlue, there was no catching him and he rightfully takes the top spot and title of Champion. The massive, 24 carat gold trophy will, as is usual at times like this, be engraved with "Predictocomp Champion 2017-18 - NZBlue" then immediately returned to the vault until next year, possibly.

The battle for second place went on until the final minutes of the Championship season, then fate decreed a three-way tie. Well done to Alf who top-scored with 10 points (average was 5.6) but it did him no good at all as he remained in eleventh. The lowest score was 3, which meant that AussieBranch was the only player not to break the 200 barrier, and he gets the wooden spoon. I wont be sending him one though. You think I'm made of wooden spoons or summat?

Thanks to you all for playing this season, I've really enjoyed it and it's folks like you that keep this board's good-humour levels up, despite the football. I fully intend to do it all again, starting in August
