    I just read this headline

"Lampard names player to replace Terry at Chelsea" and I'm sitting here thinking please let it be John Terry.

I read a better one saying "John Terry to betray Steve Bruce"

And the story continues that JT will be the player/manger by Xmas ousting SB out of his job... maybe that's why we have performed so badly so far this season. It's a master plan!

Dr Tony has hinted in Twitter he's not going to sack Bruce. Good.

We are about to offload a player he paid £11 million for because he took a day off work. We have a crisis up front and have our two starting forwards out and are left with 3 forwards in the squad 2 have scored zero goals between them and 1 hasn't scored more than 1 goal in a season since about 2015-16???

To bring in a forward will be at least £8 million if he's to be decent and why would he come here to fight behind Kodjia and Hogan. Otherwise we have to loan a player or get another has been.

Most likely he will push Adomah up as a forward, which he has done previously without success.

So his stubbornness will cost Xia 7-11 million quid and most likely his job and the fans will continue booing and will stop showing up as the team hopes to get a solitary goal and fruitlessly hold on to it.

The club have a problem with the forwards availability and quality. The season has not kicked off well with injuries to two of the leading players who play in this position namely Kodjia (age 27) 19 goals 16/17 and McCormack (age 31) 3 goals 16/17. Of the other forwards Hogan (age 27) 1 goal 16/17 and now injured again, Agabonlahor (age 30) 1 goal 16/17 and 13 appearances while the rest of the squad are youngsters Blackett-Taylor (age 19), Hepburn-Murphy (age 18), and Green (age 19) who has played a few games classified as a winger and no goals. So the squad is desperately thin in this area. Let's hope the Manager can do something about this before the transfer window closes otherwise it is going to be a very average season.
