And there is an entry in the MFC accounts ..."UEFA Solidarity and prize money".

Would I also be correct in saying that we won't see a penny of this money until the end of the season?

I would imagine it gets paid out with the prize money, yes.

As I thought, so that negates the "we might be able to sign/keep a player to help retain our league status" claim right away.

We can do that with the cash from last season, should that be what enthuses you.

It fekkin amazes me how some folk can turn a surprise £250k windfall into a negative. Keep up the good work folks ...

I don't see anyone saying that it is a negative, just that getting £250k that we won't see for a year and won't be invested in the first team isn't anything to get excited about and nor is it a positive when you consider it's merely the crumbs of the £30M+ that Celtic are making which will enable them to widen the already massive gap between them and the rest of the game.

This attitude of "at least we'll make some cash from the crumbs of Celtic netting multi millions" is everything that is wrong with football today, too many supporters now can't see past the money side of it and the internal politics rather than being able to put a team out on the park able to compete.

LSM …. the words "knob Complete bigoted” spring to mind and from comments MANY think the same .. perhaps not being a Complete (?)
It’s FREE money and I applaud their success cos we’ll never make money from Europe.
Did we not get cash from their success last campaign ?
