West Ham have told him that he can leave the club, either on a permanent basis or on loan, to me that sounds contradictory(look it up R4J), if you've been told you can leave it usually means the club is willing to cut it's loses, tear your contract up and move on but some are talking how much they'd want for him yet in the same breath it says or it can be on a loan basis but surely for that they'd want a loan fee never mind who pays what proportion of his wages

I don't understand, he's been told he can leave so then it should be for free otherwise if they want to recoup their money he isn't actually free to leave is he, same for the loan, why would they want him back or him even want to go back if he's been told he can leave?

Figo, Giggs and Ronaldo spring to mind with Bale and Robben possibly in same breath.

For the rest it's generally a case of one decent game in every three, Russell and Weimann being two of them. The divisions have been filled with wingers who are very good on their day but don't have anywhere near of enough of them - Kilbane, McGeady, Snodgrass, Downing, Adam Johnson, Chris Eagles etc etc

I'm on the fence with this one, would rather see a young speedy player in the mould of Jordan Ibe I think.
Adam Johnson is a pedo and in jail so his career is over and wrecked his own career in the end, Stuart Downing casual winger but average at best, Aiden McGeady recently moved to Sunderland not done much in his career to catch my eye. As for Chris Eagles bang average nothing more on the other hand Snodgrass tops them all and has been there and done that in the EFL and scores goals and his hungry and creates chances and can change our lacking midfield up in a heartbeat still would bring him in on loan.

Not at this time no.... but a player of his calibre on loan will be a chance not worth missing.

The bookies have Aston Villa as the favourites to sign him at 8/13 whilst Newcastle are second favourites at 6/1 then finally Sunderland at 12/1. Wether he end up at either of them remains to be seen and another club could yet come into the picture for his signature.

Steve Bruce pushing onwards to sign Robert Snodgrass who has been told by his parent club West Ham he is free to leave the club either on loan or permanently. Quality experienced player for the EFL and a worthy asset for any club that are interested in his services.
