Top class entertainer in his day, the best in British entertainment, worked with the number 1 entertainer Sammy Davis Jnr, who Bruce Forsyth was a big fan & friend.

    R.I.P. Sir Bruce

When I was a kid my parents took me and my sister on a seaside holiday. The very first thing my parents did was to go around all the theatres booking upcoming shows. It was the highlight of their holiday and my lowlight until I knew they hadn't booked to see Bruce Forsyth.

Harry Worth, yes. Bruce? A definite NO!

Later in life I discovered that whenever TV executives wanted a host of a dumbed down new show they sent for Bruce.

Alas he always said, "yes please". My solution was always to leave the room.

Don't want to see anyone leave this world but Brucie was a jack of all trades, master of none. I never watched anything he was in. Think he wasn't as good a person as it's led to believe.

There used to be an old addage if you can't say something nice about someone then don't say anything at all. I know with some of the extremism today that's not always appropriate but when did the opposite become the norm?
