    Still think his performances will be better served if he's not Captain, but a great apology and this COULD actually be a good learning thing for him as a leader.

    If he's not in the first team he can't be captain , I suspect as the season progresses on and off the field he possibly won't be .

    Hammill is the talisman as Hourihane was and should be captain.

    Do we and should we believe him. And could it be another way of saying it won't happen again because hes going to be the next one to leave us ?.

    Not an easy decision. Being captain is about having the right character and respect of the team. Hammill seems the obvious choice. I reckon he'd thrive with the extra responsibility. Having said that I'm judging him by how he's turned his career round. There may be others in the squad with credentials to be captain.
