    Looks like Steve has finally got a job at last as a coaching consultant at Maccabi Tel Aviv.

    McClaren seems to do better in the foreign leagues he proved that managing FC Twente.

    Based on what criteria? If based on the 'I've never been but I think I remember seeing something bad about it on the news about twenty years ago' then you might be right. If it's on the 'I've actually been and seen that it is a cosmopolitan and vibrant city with a real buzz about it' then I would respectfully call call that statement bottom (seeing as I am not allowed to say any other word for derriere, touche, behind, rear or posterior that might offend).

    Back to the general point, I think it is an astute move for McClaren. There is obviously a talented coach in there somewhere and taking a role like this, away from the UK and also from front line management is about the best he should be aiming for.

    As for the comment that he thrives better in countries that don't speak English - I'll merely say I find that rather a strange criteria to judge someone's footballing skills around. Maybe he should have taken the Hearts job after all if that was what brings out the best in him?
