So why did they pay £80000 for something that is inconsequential? Can I have a bit because the FA have upset me on numerous occasions!

Mark Sampson sacked but not for this, for evidence of "inappropriate and unacceptable" behaviour with female players in a previous role in Bristol.
Seems the FA have known of it for years and say he's perfectly fit to coach elsewhere.
Sounds like an excuse to act before they go before a Parliamentary Committee.

It's pointless taking them on, the PC Brigade always win in the end, they run this country. Do as they require......or else.

I read somewhere this morning that "once the grown ups in the organisation (the English FA)" found out about Sampson's previous behaviour at the Bristol Academy his situation became "untenable."

Nothing at all do with allegations of racism and a cover up with the grown ups in the organisation (the English FA) then?

The FA might think this will go away now, I suspect they've just dug themselves a deeper hole.

They'll wish they were somewhere like that by the time this has run it's course BT.

If you knew of his 'record', why did you give him the job ?

    We didn't know ?

    Why didn't you know ?

I don't the think the best advice about when in holes, ie stop digging, is any use any more, they're in far too deep already.

Without knowing the full story it still seems that it underlines the fact that the FA is not fit for purpose -and has been in this situation for a long time now. It needs a radical to get the mindset away from the 'old boy' network. Many County FAs are in the same rut, hence the difficulties experienced at grassroots level.
