Think he said we had cheated to win 7 major honours in his 10 year spell at a players awards ceremony in which he was absolutely pissed as a f@rt and was booed off the stage.

But he also said Don Revie was the best man for the England job when it came up for offer.

Clough was a chronic alcoholic who used to say things willy-nilly and he offended many people in the game,he insulted Bill Shankly,Sir Matt Busby as well as others.

When your team wins the league at Liverpool..when the kop at Liverpool start chanting champions and give your team a standing ovation..and when the great Bill Shankly tips his hat to you and says you were the best team and worthy champions..nothing more needs to be said.

And how did Revie's reign as England Manager pan out?

History is just that- it's the here and now that matters and Leeds are only as good as the league they are in and the position in the league they are currently in.

He resigned before he was sacked (fact)..Kevin Keegan also said the players at the time let Don down.

No one would give a sh1t now if the manager of England resigned or left for another/better job but back then the England job was the top job in football.

As for us..we are where we are..so what..this time next season we could be in the premier and you could be in the championship..then again we could be in league 1

    Tis a funny old game...

one of our players turned the England job down as he still wanted to carry on playing but the sweet FA wanted him to stop playing- if he had taken that job cheatin revie may never had been offered the job- so, they gave tge job to Sir Alf instead. Yup, tis a funny old game to be sure.

If you bump into Norman Hunter do thank him for ending Frank Casper's career won't you? Thank you so much.
