I've been through plenty of hurricanes in the past when I lived in Florida. However this category 4 hurricane is going to dump 3 feet of rain on us in 72 hours and then some.
Reminds me of many a bank holiday in Mablethorpe to be honest!

Still a monster storm......I'm 476 miles south of Corpus Christi by road, 400 miles as the crow flies, and it's been hammering down for 4 hours now, I've lost power briefly and the thunder and lightening is impressive.

Candles are lit and the beer is cold.....quite romantic

An average white puffy cloud contains 216,000 lbs of water

A dark-coloured cumulus nimbus contains 105.8 million lbs of water.

An average hurricane contains 108 billion lbs of water.....and this thing is enormous, certainly bigger than "average"

President Trump said: "This is one of the biggest storms in the history of the world. In fact the biggestest ever. Even so, there are some very fine winds in that storm. Not all the violence is on one side. Climate change is simply a hoax to get America to pay out more money for ... er, storm damage."

Day 2 - 20 inches of rain in the Houston area of over 2 million people....6 inches in the last hour alone.

Predictions for another 20 inches over days 3 and 4......the advice is NOT to hide in the attic....unless you take an axe!!
