    Why would they come?

We ruin more careers than develop them
We don't have a manager with a track record or reputation of any form
We don't have any coaches or trainers of any note
Even after a bit of a spruce up our training facilities are poor
It's also Rotherham, a town with "issues"

Yes we do manage to sign loan players but they tend to be those with very few options left where we are basically last resort or a nice little earner before retirement.
I take your point Grist, however their manager has come out and said he would not object to Warne taking him .It would be better not taking loanees on but we are who we are.The chairman will upset a lot of fans, if he does not support the manager in recruiting new blood in to the squad.

Name me a loan player that turned out rubbish Grist

Fry is with England under 21 I think or 19s
G ward is a first teamer for Ipswich
Izzy brown got Huddersfield promoted and now is with Brighton
Adyami is with Cardiff and are at top of the league
Martinez is still with arsenal on loan aboard
Rawson is still with derby but derby county BOD are so clueless anyway

Yes we had some naff ones but to be fair they came from Scotland clubs so what ya expect

I think we have trained some of the best young players in the country

With his age not sure if a small fee has to be paid to Derby County, by the club who sign him.
Almost certain Farrend Rawson is contracted till end of June 2018.

If George Hirst sorts his long term contract out with Wednesday`s & he becomes available before the Thursday night deadline Paul Warne ought to do his best to sign him. This lad will more than likely go on to play for the full England side sometime in the future.

    Get him signed if possible.

Fry wasn't very good. England under 21's or 19's what does that prove. Rawson 2nd loan that's why I don't want him back.

Being part of any England team proves he's better than anything we have at back.

You don't see dom ball or purrington being called up do you? So I'd say it proves I'm right

Fry never really had a chance with us did he
And rawson only went back because he was injured and we could have got him back if we wasn't so unfit and **** last season

Fry played a no. of games for us. If he makes it in football at a higher level than we're playing now I'll be amazed. Rawson got to be something not right: fitness. He's hardly played since he left us.

Fry was very poor while he was with us.
He was way out of his depth and hardly won a header.
Doesn't mean he won't make it elsewhere though.

Fry was way too green for championship still has talent though just green

Rawson I have a hunch that injury made him lose his bottle and has a fear of tackles boxers have something similar I think punch drunk I think it's called or in this case tackle drunk

I thought Fry played ok considering he was a young lad in terrible side, He impressed me more than Dominic Ball anyway. He's started every game this season for Middlesbrough and they're one of the favourites to go up.
