    Did anybody see Football Focus an Saturday? It had a feature on Macca and showed a brief clip of the players coming down the tunnel and saluting the crowd Torquay at home 1978!!
    Makes you wonder what locked away in the BBC/ITV archives.

    Remember that kendray , when Clarkie first came we won our first five games and low and behold the BBC turn up giving it the big endorsement .

    You know the rest , we lost 2-1 and our old foe Les Lawrence scored em both like he always did .
    Big crowd there that night , highest for many a long year .

    Before my time as a fan that, the '78 promotion season under Clarkie. And remember there were no play offs in those days.
