A good day out in Tweedmouth despite a 100 mile 2 hours 15 minutes journey from Dumfries. After a scrappy first half it was a stroll in the sun and game over 15 minutes into the second period on a superb surface. Great to see both sets of fans mingling together and you
could even leave the stand at half - time and walk round to the terracing on the other side of the ground. Unlike Palmy and despite being
close to the River Tweed and the North Sea gulls were not a problem and one of the reasons I put down to the many large bins where the fans could deposit their chip cartons - an idea I would like to see Queens adopt. The wee Gers programme was really well designed and revealed the last time we played at Shieldfield was in 2008 when we won 5 - 1 in the Challenge Cup.

Some great goals scored. Now onto Livingston where Lyle could equal Thomson's goals record.
