Study says Sakho was bought for five times his estimated value.

Using a transfer value algorithm that took into account various statistics, including age, goals and points won by the team, to calculate a value for a player, the study concluded that Sakho was in fact worth around £4.8m

That means, according to CIES, Palace overpaid by around £21m, which is the fourth highest overpaying for a player this summer of any deal. Only Everton (Sigurdsson €25.2m and Pickford €27.5m) and Manchester City (Mendy €29m) overpaid more.

DeBoers Pre match conference has moved to Friday

De Boer was due to face the media on Thursday morning at 9.30am before the switch today.

The Dutchman was named in the original message but not in the rescheduled one now at 1.30 on Friday.

Good to see we got the best of the Wood Gray swap getting more for Andre and paying lots less for Woods than his "value"
