I agree with keeping George in. Watching Bonham is like watching a levee break.
Brown might be a step too far for Curle though. He seems to prefer experience at the back, which is why he'll pick Liddle.
After George's clean sheet tonight and after Bonham's effort on Saturday it's a no brainer, surely?
The same, you'd think, with Miller upfront - two assists in two games means he deserves a shirt...
I don't agree with leaving Adams on the bench for too long - especially against a side like Mansfield, he has to start on Saturday without a doubt. Fair enough, rest him for a couple of games here and there so he doesn't burn out like last season but he's had two rests - time to put in a full ninety minutes. If you want to rest him - wait until the game is won - and try to win the game from the off instead of trying to win it at the end - perhaps...
Also with Joyce - is it a coincidence that when he returned to the midfield in place of Liddle when win and keep a clean sheet?
My trouble comes with picking the defence - due to Parkes' suspension, Miller's absence tonight and the fact I didn't see James Brown strutting his funky stuff.
So...
George
Brown Ellis ? (not Liddle) Grainger
Kennedy Joyce Jones Adams
S Miller Bennett
That's maybe a bit harsh on Lambe - who before Saturday had been excellent, but I'd rather see him come off the bench than Adams - and I prefer giving Kennedy a free role as he's more effective.
I'd even consider going three at the back and actually attacking from the off - that way Lambe could start so...
George
Brown Ellis Grainger
Lambe Joyce Jones Adams
Kennedy
S Miller Bennett

It would be great for Curley to get one over his old club from up the road,I shall have my fingers crossed for you
