Just having a laugh at Chelsea signing Zappacosta --are they trying to tell Diego something?

How can it not 'come down to the last day'? Buying/selling, it takes two to tango, so irrespective of what BFC or anyone else would prefer, if the selling club is holding out to the death in the hope of a better offer, or the buying club in the hope of a lower price, then it's only on 31st August that they both have to bite the bullet and make their decisions one way or t'other.

Tell me something I don't know afloat, its my opinion and regardless of yours on anyone else's its what I feel.

We have known for at least 10 months Keane was going to be sold, Tarky was purchased IMO as his replacement whilst Keane was still here, but no replacement for Tarky as yet, Mee and Tarky the main stay of our defence, if they both get injured or suspended there is not a lot to be said for their replacements and we'll be in deep do do.

Yes leave it till the last minute, like Grosicki last year, a flying winger that we tried to sign at the death, it fell through for his gambling debts or whatever, we never signed him, and still in this window we haven't signed a decent winger.

As I've said on another thread, we have tried for a Romanian playing in Spain, Waris, Zappata and someone else I cannot remember, all reasonable players which cost a bit, all probably missed, and we get Wells who is recovering from injury for £5 Million ? a ridiculous rumour that Dyche don't go for Europeans is pathetic, if so why are we paying for European Scouts ?

There is something amiss, the wage structure as we are all aware is holding us back, but the recruitment team and the seemingly stingy way the Board are piddling about with the money strings leaves a lot to be desired.

I might have mentioned this before but we have Kevin Long and Stephen Ward who are better than decent at centre back and the outstanding Charlie Taylor who is chomping at the bit to get a game in any position.

My one and only gentle criticism is that we have not really replaced Kightly and Boyd as options on the flanks.

While others have been wanting another natural central defender in you have steadfastly refused to get too hung up on that idea BT.

It looks like its going that way and I'm surprised.

Not going to get all drama queenary but God help us if we have to put square pegs in round holes.

Taylor is no centre half and that's for sure. We are talking about a specialised position here .

Anderson going on loan is not bad move for all parties but I thought if he went on loan it would indicate we were bringing in a specialist . Looks like I was wrong unless something late in the day happens.
