Surely it is indeed KCG, I totally agree, but surely it is also up to our staff to be aware that they are dealing with EFL bureaucrats and act accordingly.

Like MA's suggestion about buying out the contract very much. If that proves at all possible any chance of you forsaking Dutch delights and coming to work for DCFC?

Does anyone think there may be any substance in 'Arry the 'whistleblower'?

Come on, an error is an eror, its the intent that counts and adhering to the strict rules is just petty officialdom, it does not seem to have been that big an error and when one is rushing to get a deal through in a limited time period then its not surprising that some box isn't ticked - those slagging the club off clearly haven't got a clue about whats involved - as Rowett says, in the prem you submit a form with the basic details on before the deadline, then have two hours to submit the completed paperwork which makes sense - pedantic officialdom rules over common sense!!

It was a complete cock-up on both accounts and there is nothing that we can do about it, now it's happened and has been delt with time to move on.

Very charitable of you Whiteram. Maybe I was a tad OTT and last night certainly eased my mood.
You may be right about 'pedantic officialdom ruling over common sense' but at the end of the day...we're not in the Prem and however sensible the approach you describe would seem...we have staff who's job it is to adhere to the 'petty' rules and make sure signings are completed properly.
Still love to know who the 'jobsworth whistle blower' was and if it was some disgruntled member of the BCFC staff I hope it becomes a case of 'what goes around comes around'.

It still leaves us short in a key area though,, yes hudds and johnson were great last night, but 46 games is a big ask in those positions, lots of hard work required and no doubt theyll pick niggling injuries + tiredness. Cant rely on thorne we know that.

Maybe a loan if thats possible?, and then sign him in january.

Derby looking at the possibility of bringing in Mikel Keiftenbeld to the club in January.

Hopefully this time the deal goes without any glitches.
