Have you tried the transport museum in Alford? I mind loving that place when I was a kid.

Not in the area, but take the loon to the National Museum in Edinburgh - you'll both absolutely love it. I went to school just outside Edinburgh and there was a trip there every year and I've always loved it there. Had my 3 & 5 year olds there in December for the first time and we were back at the beginning of February as they went on about it so much.

A wee trip on the train to Dundee to see Discovery and the science museum was another winner. Both brilliant places for the kids.

Sure is, been there twice with my two. About 3 or 4 miles south of North Berwick, on the East Lothian area.

Looking for something to do in Glasgow this sunday morning, before we head up the road, as part of semi-final weekend. Done the Riverside Museum and the Science Centre, already. Any other decent places to go, for kids?

It's sad they never kept some older properties in Kings Crescent old Aberdeen for example my Gran lived in a detached block next to the railway line with a big garden.

She had two rooms at the top one was a living room bedroom and the other across the landing was a kitchen dinning area .

No heating just coal fires no hot water tank just two electric geezers over the kitchen sink.

Down stairs was a toilet shared by around 10 people in the various flats. Outside there was washing facilities in a boiler room where you'd heat up water to hand wash the clothes then stick them through a wringer ..
    Imagine that .

This historic building of how we used to live was knocked down in the mid 70s own by the council.

That building would have been superb education for the kids growing up today on how life was.

My Gran moved to Jute street which for the first time she had not only an indoor toilet but a bath as well .

But she didn't want to move she was happy living in Kings Crescent.

Would love to see how Aberdeen's working classes used to live and that would indeed be fantastic memories for not only myself but others too.

I'm in Alicante at the moment. Went to pick up my winnings earlier. Ended up I was due a bitty more than I thought. Which was nice. Was quite breezy and chilly when I entered the casino. An hour later I came out and it was beautiful. At the airport now ready to come home for the big game tomorrow.

    Enjoy your time away buc.

I always imagined Alicante to be like Benidorm. I was very impressed when I ended up there. Great food and bars. Beautiful little city centre. Drove up to Valencia to go to a particular restaurant only to find it just closing.
