I have been a Newcastle fan all of my life, since 1964 and my first game, taken by my dad. God rest his soul.
I am 58, and yes, addicted to this football club.
However, I have never been to a Newcastle game since 2008. Why, you may ask.
Do I really need to explain…two words, Mike Ashley!!!
I have been bleating on and on about this guy since then and nothing and nobody will ever change my view on this.
That man and ‘His’ football club will not get one penny out of me until he is gone and quite frankly, banished into the wilderness.

So in 9 years you have refused to put a penny into the club.
You've bought no merchandise or watched live TV.
If this is the case then you are a conditional fan and in 9 years are not exactly a fan, at all.
You've basically allowed one man to interfere with something that you spent most of your life being a fan of and yet forget about the other people who have done far worse than Ashley ever has.

This man ruined my weekends, my love for my football club, and to be perfectly honest, broke my heart, in footballing terms.

You ruined your own weekends and broke your own heart, if you want to act all melodramatic.

This man is selfish, arrogant, annoying and cares about nothing but himself, what is more, the man is a compulsive liar.
He has lied to me, you, and everyone else who will listen to him and, unfortunately, this will never change.

Don't worry about it, you made your choice not to be a Newcastle United fan until it suits you, so enjoy your other interests until that happens.

The one where we brought in 8 players, most of which look decent quality and have potential.
Players that a championship club on its first season back would (in normal circumstances) be classed as very good additions.

What happens when all of your personal fortune has been spent giving fans like yourself what they dream of?

People might not like what I'm saying but it's my opinion and I am not just going to agree with people just because they make a heart felt plea to fans to destroy the club, which is exactly what this is all about.
A disgruntled ex supporter wanting everyone to do what he does and then sit back with a contented smirk when there's no club to support but at least Ashley's gone, too.
