Anton Ferdinand On £690 A Week At Southend United

Anton Ferdinand, 32 year old captain of Southend United has been banned from driving for 6 months, with a £350 fine, after being caught speeding for a fourth time, which brought him to 12 penalty points.
Basildon magistrates told he earns £690 a week at Southend United, not much for a well known player, after what our club were paying Blackstock.

Indeed. Probably he a massive signing on fee . Bonus payments for clean, sheets, assists goals and a nice hefty win bonus. I would like to wager if Southend win lets says he picks up a clean sheet i bet hes close to 3k a week .

Too true, but to be fair to the bloke he's probably paying tax on that "massive" pay, unlike some of the many foreigners playing in the league.

I'm more surprised he didn't get away with it, his lawyer not up to it?
